How do I purchase my ticket from the Parking Machine?
When you first reach the parking machine, the screen will display 3 options:
- Parking only
- Parking + bus
- Free parking (only for short-term dropping-off and picking up)
Once you’ve selected the option you need, follow the on-screen instructions to enter your vehicle registration and choose the number of people who will be travelling on the bus. There are two options, both of which include up to 3 children free of charge:
- 16 hours’ parking and 1 adult: £4.00
- 16 hours’ parking and 2 adults: £5.00
If additional bus tickets are required (i.e. if there are more than 2 adults travelling), these can be purchased directly from the driver.
All sites have machines that accept both cash and payment.
What should I do if I already have a parking ticket?
If you already have a parking ticket, don’t worry. You can quickly and easily purchase your bus ticket from your bus driver or via the Oxford Bus Company/Stagecoach mobile apps. Our drivers can accept contactless cards/devices for payment, and cash.
Tickets for the park&ride300 and park&ride400 buses are available via the Oxford Bus Company app and tickets for Stagecoach services 7 and 700 are available via the Stagecoach app.
If you have an English National Concessionary pass issued by your local authority, it’s valid on all Park&Ride services any time after 9:00am on weekdays and all day on weekends and public holidays.
What should I do if I already have a bus ticket?
If you’ve already purchased a bus ticket, don’t worry. You can still purchase a parking ticket separately. To do so, simply head to a Parking Machine at the Park&Ride site and follow the instructions or buy your parking ticket from RingGo.
